The airport was previously called Indianapolis Municipal Airport, then changed to Weir Cook Municipal Airport and renamed again to what is called today Indianapolis International Airport. Also, the airport’s single terminal was named in honor and memory of Harvey Weir Cook, who served as a US Air Force ace fighter pilot and held a title of seven victories to his name both in World Wars I and II.

Indianapolis International Airport has a single, main terminal called Colonel Harvey Weir Cook Terminal. The terminal has two concourses, Concourse A and Concourse B. There are 44 gates for domestic flights and 2 gates for international flights.

Terminal Garage Parking: This parking has the facility of both covered and uncovered parking whereas the first three-floor are covered and the fifth floor is open area parking which is uncovered. Park & Walk: This parking lot is very close to the terminal where passengers can take a 7 to 8 minutes walk and reach the terminal there is no need for a shuttle service. So, this parking lot is much favored by passengers. The rate for this lot is around $14 per day. Here you can pay with your credit card or debit card but cash is not allowed.

Economy Lot: This parking lot is the largest parking having 8000 car parking spaces as well as convenient for the passengers pedestrian bridges are available and there is also a shuttle service for the passengers. Economy lot is very cost-effective where passengers can park their car at $9 per day. Here you can pay through your credit or debit card and cash payment is also available here.

Valet Parking:
A Valet Parking service is available at the airport. You also receive complimentary services, such as window cleaning and interior vacuuming, and luggage assistance.

Electric vehicle charging: On the terminal garage at level 3 there is complimentary electric charging for vehicles is available. Here hourly fast charging is available for customers who park their vehicles for less than 8 hours. A total of 14 spaces are allotted for the Electric vehicle charging and it is available on the basis of first come and first serve. Electric vehicle charging space is available for parking at a rate of $2 per half hour or $20 per day maximum. Here passengers can pay with their cards at the time of exiting the lot. Cash payment is also accepted at the counter.

Wi-Fi and Mobile Charging Points

Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the terminal at the airport, in case you want to connect your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to access the internet.

There is a Hair Departure Barber Shop located in Civic Plaza, right past the Ticketing Hall.

Spa:

EnRoute Spa offers services, such as full body massages, manicures, pedicures, etc. It is located in the airside, near Gates A14 (offers limited services) which opens from 9 am till 9 pm on weekdays and 9 am till 6:30 pm on Saturdays. Also located in B6 (which offers a full-service spa) that is open from 9 am to 8 pm.

CPR Training Kiosk:

There is a “Hands-Only CPR Training” kiosk at the airport that offers informative videos, practice sessions, and a 30-second CPR test on a rubber mannequin. It is located in the airside, near Gate A8.

Postal Services:

There are mailboxes available at the airport. Passengers can post their last-minute postcards to friends, family, and relatives. Mailboxes are available on the landside of Baggage Claim and Check-in areas.

ATM:

ATMs are available at the airport. You can swipe your bank card and withdraw cash at the airport’s ATMs if you’re running low on cash or need to make cash payments at other services or stores. You can find ATMs located at airside and landside areas of the Terminal, and another just beside Travelex foreign exchange.
