Steps for Hawaiian Airlines Cancellation or Change Reservation Online:

Hawaiian Airlines’ cancellation policy has required certain actions:

Step 1:- Firstly, visit the official webpage of “Hawaiian Airlines” or “https://www.hawaiianairlines.com/“.

Step 2:– Second, Just tap on the “Manage Flights“.

Step 3:- Now you will see four options there, such as “Check-in“, “Flight Status“, “My trips“, and “My Receipts“. Please choose “My Trips” and click on it.

Step 4:- There page will open with the title “Find My Trip“. On that page, you will see two blank columns. You have to fill that form with your “Last Name” and 6-digit “confirmation code or Ticket No.“.

Step 5:- After filling in your details there, you need to click on “View My Trip“.

Step 6:- Many options are presented there, you need to select your preferred option like “Change or Cancel your reservation” and continue.

Step 7:- After completing all these steps, you will receive a confirmation e-mail regarding cancellation or change in your reservation, based on whatever you have done. This e-mail contains a 13-digits e-ticket number.

Step 8:- Keep it safe. It will be used at the time of your future reservation with the airline.

  • Booked between May 1-Aug. 16, 2021:- If your reservation is booked between these given dates and travel scheduled is on or before Oct. 31, 2021, you are eligible to make any change in your reservation without paying any extra charges. But you need to pay the difference in your fare if any.
  • Booked between Jan. 1-April 30, 2021:- If your reservation is booked between these given dates, you are eligible to make any change in your reservation without paying any extra charges. But you need to pay the difference in your fare if any.
  • Booked between March 1-Dec. 31, 2020:- If your reservation is booked between these given dates, you are eligible to make any change in your reservation without paying any extra charges. But you need to pay the difference in your fare if any.
  • Booked before March 1, 2020:- If your reservation is booked before these given dates and travel scheduled is between March 1, 2020-Feb. 28, 2021, you are eligible to make any change in your reservation without paying any extra charges. But you need to pay the difference in your fare if any.

If you purchased your Main Cabin tickets after Oct.31, 2021, you are not eligible to change your tickets according to Airline’s standard fare rules for these tickets.

Is there a change fee for Hawaiian Airlines?

Can I cancel a Hawaiian Airlines flight within 24 hours?

Hawaiian Airlines permits passengers to cancel the reservations with a complete refund within 24 hours of booking, as long as the booking should be made at least 7 days before the schedule of flight departure.

  • For any reason, if your flight is delayed or canceled, then also you will get a complete refund for that specific flight. But delayed at least more than 3 hours.
  • If your make changes in the flight and your new ticket price is less than the original one then you’ll not get a refund of the remaining balance or the price difference.

Hawaiian Airlines’ refund policy has divided the refund types into two categories, one is Involuntary refunds and another is Voluntary refunds (refundable):

Involuntary Refunds:

  • The airline will refund their customer as follows:- (i) When the passenger or the airline does not allow to travel for reasons such as refusal of transport, acceptance of children & infants, and Hawaiian Airlines cancellation, delays, changes, etc. (ii) If passenger returned the unused part of their reservation to the airlines. (iii) The reason you didn’t travel was not your fault.
    • Involuntary Refund Ticket (Fully Unused):- If your reservation is fully unused, you are eligible to get a full refund of the amount equal to your fare & charges of your original reservation.
    • Involuntary Refund Ticket (A Part Used):- If you used a part of your ticket, you are only eligible to get a refund of the amount equal to the difference between the fare & charges of the original reservation and the fare & charges of the used part of the reservation.

Voluntary Refunds (under Refundable Reservation):

The flight reservation that you canceled must be booked under Hawaiian Ticket Stock so that you will get a full refund of your canceled reservation whether you have used it partially or not used it. 

  1. The airline’s reservation is not used or canceled, that reservation will give you a full refund including the full amount of fare with the charges applied at the time of booking.
  2. And the reservation that is partially used i.e in round trip booking one side trip has been used and other side trips you want to cancel, then you will get a refund in such way:-
    1. Difference between the fare of the original ticket and the charges applied to it.
    2. Difference between the fare of the used portion of the ticket and the charges applied to it.

Keep in mind, that if you cancel your ticket after 12 months of the ticked date when it’s been issued, then you will not get any refund for those reserved tickets. Whenever you apply for your refund you will get it within 7 business days if you have paid your ticket fare on a credit card and if payment is made with cash it will take 20 business days to come to you.

What if I fail to get the boarding pass or fail to reach the boarding gate?

If any passengers fail to reach the boarding gate then Airlines comply with the rules which apply as per the cancellation rules. Then airlines may cancel the ticket or permit it to cancel the ticket if passengers fail to board at the boarding gate and are available to board at least 30minutes prior to the scheduled departure whether you are checked in or not. For this cancellation, you may not be eligible for a refund or get a refund.

What if I fail to check-in on time?

Passengers should have check-in for the Hawaiin Flights at least before the 45minitues to the flight’s scheduled departure. And if you are traveling between the state of Hawaii and the continental USA then you should check in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the flight.
