- If you are going to fly to Lagos and San Jose then do complete your Iberia online check-in process 80-90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure.
- Iberia online or web check-in must be completed 180 minutes before the scheduled departure in Caracas.
Iberia’s online check-in service can easily be accessed before flight departure by all passengers who have tickets for it. Passengers who use Iberia online Check-in option through the iberia.com website for code-share flights should know that the code-share flights will be operated by Finnair or British Airways, American Airlines, Vueling. And they will be redirected to the operator’s website with the help of using the booking code which was sent to their email for confirming the purchase.
Restrictions for Iberia Airlines online check-in services
- For the passengers who have an itinerary for both at origin and destination that has an Iberia flight in connection with an IB5XXX flight which is operated by Vueling. Then Iberia online check-in will not be accessed.
- If you are a person or passenger who must need a special service or assistance for flying such as if you are an unaccompanied minor, a requirement of wheelchairs, traveling with pets, etc. then you can not use Iberia online check-in service anymore.
- When passengers show their credit cards at the airport, they only will be able to make the seat reservation but will not be able to print the boarding pass.
- Passengers who make a booking or reservation for more than one person for an Air Shuttle flight. Then they will not be able to use the Iberia web check-in service at all.
- Whenever you check-in online, always keep in mind that if you need cancellation or want to make any changes to your flight then this may deny by the airline or entertain after ensuring your valid reasons. It depends on their policies so you have to contact their executives.
Iberia Airlines’ online check-in process
- Passengers are required to look for their reservation with one of the following options:
- Through the Reservation code – Make sure you know this code and the passenger’s last name which is mentioned in the booking.
- Through the Iberia Plus, card number – Passengers who give their card number at the time they make the reservation, can do the search easily just by providing the Iberia Plus card number and the PIN code.
- Passengers are required to select the flight for which they would like to check-in.
- Choosing a seat – passengers can select the seat they desire to have as per the seat map availability. If passengers have already reserved their seats, the Iberia online check-in will be made with that seat.
- Confirming passengers’ information and data – passengers have to verify all the information provided by them is correct or not prior to having the boarding pass for flights.
- Issuing the boarding pass – Once the copy of the boarding passes is sent for each flight. Travelers can receive the boarding pass with one of the following options:

Note1:- The mobile boarding pass can be used or required at the check-in counter desk or at the security filters or when boarding the flight.

Use a Kiosk machine for check-in
First of all, you have to show your identity card and follow the directions which are mentioned on the screen of the Kiosk machine.

In order to boost up the boarding process, Iberia Airlines shows a boarding group on your boarding pass. And the groups have a number that shows the priority order for boarding the plane:

- Group 1 – passengers of Business Class, travelers of Iberia Plus Infinita, Platino and Oro, Iberia Singular, Oneworld Emerald, and Sapphire.
- Group 2 – Passengers for Premium Economy class, Air Shuttle, and Economy Class. And have checked in their hand baggage, members of Iberia Plus Plata, and Oneworld Ruby.
- General Boarding
- Group 3 – passengers for Economy Class with Optima and Flexible fares.
- Group 4 – all other passengers will be covered in this group4.
