Japan Airlines, Japan Transocean Air, Japan Air Commuter, and Ryukyu Air Commuter are also available.

If you have finished booking, ticket purchase, and seat selection for domestic flights with this Touch And Go check-in option then surely no additional check-in procedure or option will be needed to do whether you talk about Web Check-in, Counter Check-in, and self-service check-in machine, etc.

For using this Japan Airlines Touch And Go check-in option you have to visit the Japan airline website and after clicking on to the boarding information section, you will be redirected to the Touch & Go option page.

After generating the e-ticket itinerary and receipt by pressing the touch-and-go check-in option, you will be provided a two-dimensional barcode, which will be used and printed at the airport. With a mobile device, you can easily access the 2D barcode, and also it can be saved in the iPhone Wallet app, which only the Japanese website has the authorization to access it.

You will have to head to the security checkpoint 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of your flight. And make sure you arrive 30 minutes before in case you are connecting from a domestic to an international flight.

The same information which was used at the security checkpoint once again must be scanned in order to move through the boarding gates. When you’re flying with a kid under 3, you’ll also need to check the 2D barcode printed on the infant’s boarding information sheet.

Restriction for Japan Airlines Touch & Go check-in 

  • If you already have a ticket.
  • If you still have not selected a seat.
  • When the reservation is for an unaccompanied or an individual minor, a child from two to seven years that is not accompanied by an adult over 12 years
  • Even if you are a JMB member and have double-booked the same segment on the same day
  • If the itinerary includes an international flight
  • If you need special assistance at boarding 
  • If the fare is paid by you is not eligible for Touch & Go

Japan Airlines Ticketing Kiosk check-in 

Japan Airlines Check-in and Ticketing Kiosk option allow you to easily buy your ticket, check-in, select and change your seat, and issue your receipt. 

It is available at most domestic airports but most of the airports do not allow it such as Matsumoto, Minamidaito, Oki, Okinoerabu, Okushiri, Rishiri, Shizuoka, Tajima, Tarama, Tanegashima, Yakushima, Yonaguni, Yoron airports, Amakusa, Kikai, Kitadaito, Komaki.

You will have to carry one of the following things ready when you arrive at the kiosk to check-in a JMB card, electronic-ticket receipt, 8 or 12-digit order number, and a mobile phone with IC (NFC) function.

Japan Airlines Web check-in

The whole procedure of web checking depends on the time left for your flight. In case of having connecting flights and one of them is domestic and the other one international, you can proceed with Web check-in 24 hours before the departure.
