History of Southwest Airlines
Southwest Airlines was started in 1966 by Herbert Kelleher and Rollin king, and in 1967 it was renamed Air Southwest co. There were three airlines that try to stop it reducing the fare by taking legal action against Southwest.
The airline was founded by Herb Kelleher on the 15th of March 1967 as Air Southwest Co. And in 1971, they started. And it began operating regularly operating inside the country of Texas only, flying first amongst Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas.
During its peak season, the airline operates four thousand departures in line with today and the airline has more than sixty thousand employees as of September 2019.
Southwest Airlines consists of the maximum number of domestic passengers of any of the U.S. Airline gift as of 2018. The offerings via the airline have been scheduled to a hundred and one locations inside the U.S. And with that ten extra nations also.
The proceedings were resolved in 1970, and in 1971 the airline started operating scheduled flights between Dallas Love Field and Houston. This was the time it renamed itself Southwest Airlines Co.
In the next few years, they soon began to operate more flights in Texas. , and in 1979 it started out flying to adjoining states. Service to the east and the southeast started out in the nineteen nineties.
